humboldt strong charitable foundation
The Humboldt Strong Charitable Foundation is the long term organization that will build on the spirit and intention of the donors in the aftermath of the Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy. The Charitable Foundation will work to continue to pay forward the outpouring of support received through supporting other programs and organizations that work to assist individuals, families, and communities in their times of greatest need.
Humboldt Strong Charitable Foundation has partnered with the Sask. CISM Network to develop a Resilience Program that will offer training and resources for all public safety and healthcare workers whose lives and careers may be affected by the highly traumatic events they experience daily. This funding will focus on education, and work individuals can do throughout their careers to enhance their ability to cope well through highly distressing experiences. With support and training, these critical events can be experienced as a time to learn, recover, and have a stronger understanding of the life experience that can lead to an opportunity for post-traumatic growth.
Bike for mental health
Bike for Mental Health was created in 2020 with one goal in mind: to raise money for mental health initiatives. The team is also passionate about raising awareness about the importance of focusing on mental health.
We are so grateful for their generous contribution in 2021 to provide education for healthcare workers who continue to work in highly challenging acute care settings in our hospitals.
